Language Of Design
WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
Conditioning your mind for creative, visual problem-solving.
The essence of design is deriving an effective way to communicate an idea or approach a problem through “design thinking” or the design mindset. This is learned by developing a fundamental design vocabulary, understanding the iterative process, and learning to balance external options, such as timing and budget, to arrive at a well-crafted, creative solution.

TYPOGRAPHY
We’ll focus much of our efforts on this foundational element of visual design. Font selection, font pairing, layout, hierarchy, composition, and tone will be discussed and explored. These fundamentals are applied to create design concepts for brands that are relevant and on-trend.
BRANDING
Working our way through real-world, brand-centric projects to help instill the fundamentals of visual design, we’ll get your brain thinking and speaking in design. For each project, we’ll do our research by examining the demographics of the brands you’ll be working with, what type of aesthetic and messaging resonates with your brand’s audience, and how to add perceived value through the thoughtful, careful use of the design language.
